Stunning, hand-crafted Garden Gates manufactured from the finest Iroko. Combining traditional, time served construction techniques such as mortise, tenon and  dowel joints alongside thick frame, deep cladding and rear structural bracing our Gates really are built for strength and durability.

Available Sizes:
  • Width: from 2ft to 4ft (609mm to 1m 210mm)
  • Height: from 3ft to 4ft 6" (914mm to 1m 372mm) - (5ft to 7ft classed as Side Gates) Taken to the highest point (inc horns).
  • Made to Measure - all gates online can be purchased to the nearest inch, if you do require a more precise size, please contact us. (Unlike others - there is NO additional cost for bespoke, we simply base price on the next size!)
How to Calculate Gate Width:
    • Take 3 measurements between opening - Top, middle and bottom - use the smallest measurement.
    • If posts are already in place, reduce your measurement by 20mm (4/5") to allow for clearance.
    • Putting in posts, don't forget to also reduce this from your measurement.
    • When you have your measurement - select from drop down menu. If the size is not there, call or select next size down.
    Choosing Your Posts:
    • 3" x 2" - Iroko. Ideal if you can bolt these into a wall/pillar as they match the gate beautifully.
    • 3"x 3" x 5ft green softwood tanalised posts are designed to be concreted into the ground. The tanalised treatment ensures a 10 year ground contact protection. Good solid posts which can be painted.
    • 70mm x 70mm 6ft black metal posts. Fit the hinges to the posts by using a metal drill bit to pre drill the holes. These look great with the iroko gates
Please note: Images are used to show the style of gate and have been computer generated. A Sample of wood used in construction is available on request. Width advertised is total width of gate.

    Garden Gate Hinges:

The tee hinges we offer are heavy duty hinges. Chosen as they hold our gates perfectly and with ease unlike cheaper versions which will require replacing alot sooner. Each tee hinge kit comes with the following
    • 2 x 14" Tee Hinges
    • 1 x Medium Auto Catch
    • Screws and fixings
    Gate Hinge Set

    Stain and Treatment:

Each gate is stained by hand individually and 2 coats are applied. It is always advised to re-coat the gate after 28 days of it being fitted and the gate has climatised, then again at 6 months then annually thereafter.

Calculating the actual width required of a wooden driveway gate is easy...just follow these simple steps below.
    1. Take three measurements between existing pillars or posts.
    2. Reduce the LOWEST size by 40mm (or approx 1.5")
    3. That's it! The size left after the reduction is the gate width required. Online, we offer gate width's to the nearest inch, simply select the closest size (lower) from the drop down menu - or call to order for an exact width.
How to measure driveway gate width

Please note: If no pillars or posts on there, measure the opening and reduce by 2 x posts. Gates up to 10ft wide should use 100mm x 100mm (4" x 4") posts, over 10ft use 150mm x 150mm (6" x 6") posts.
